There is usually no average time it takes to help someone 'heal'. I would however suggest that most chronic illness takes many months (sometimes over a year) of treatment. I endeavour to help patients with medicine as long as they feel necessary, helping them gradually reduce or stop a herbal protocol whenever it is relevant to their condition. The average time a patient will stay with me is 6-12 months before tapering off herbs and moving on with their life.
